Gold Gains for Third Day as Traders Weigh US-Iran Ceasefire Deal

Gold held on to meager gains Thursday as traders assessed the prospects of a US-Iran truce deal.

Bullion climbed as much as 1.6% to trade above $4,700 an ounce before paring most of the gains in late US trading. Prices came off the highs after optimism for a deal with Iran started to fade.
