FanDuel Names New Top Executive Amid Prediction Markets Push

Flutter Entertainment Plc. elevated FanDuel President Christian Genetski to lead its US betting business, replacing Amy Howe, who served as chief executive officer of FanDuel for more than five years.

FanDuel, the largest player in US sports betting, has been challenged by the growth of prediction market players like Kalshi Inc. FanDuel launched its own prediction markets app, expanding to all 50 states in January. The business has also lost market share in US sports betting over the past year to rivals, including Hard Rock International and Fanatics Inc., according to data from researcher Eilers & Krejcik Gaming.
