DOJ Says UCLA Medical School Selected Students Based on Race

The Justice Department said it uncovered evidence that the University of California at Los Angeles’ medical school intentionally and illegally selected applicants based on their race.

The department said Wednesday that a year-long investigation concluded that the medical school admitted Black and Hispanic applicants who “had consistently lower academic qualifications than their white and Asian counterparts.”
