Marathon Petroleum Corp. sent fuel tankers on a range of atypical routes in the first months of the war in Iran, taking advantage of disruptions in supply for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, executives said on Tuesday.

Ohio-based Marathon, the largest refiner in the US, primarily sources its crude from the US and Canada. Chief Executive Officer Maryann Mannen said during an earnings call that meant the company is “largely insulated” from the war’s supply constraints and has taken advantage of exporting opportunities.
