Anduril Industries Inc. is leading a team of industry partners, including commercial space firms K2 Space and Voyager Technologies, to develop prototypes of space-based interceptors for President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense shield, the company announced Tuesday.

Each partner will contribute capabilities — such as satellite platforms and weapons development expertise — toward building the interceptors, which are intended to destroy incoming enemy missiles from orbit, according to a company statement. The group also includes Sandia National Laboratories, Inversion Space and Impulse Space, a partnership Bloomberg has previously reported.
