Iran War Energy Shock Pushes Turkey Prices Higher in April

Turkish annual inflation rose more than expected in April as price pressures from the Iran war continued to ripple through the economy.

Year-on-year price growth accelerated to 32.4% last month from 30.9% in March, according to data released on Monday by the national statistics agency TurkStat. The median forecast in a Bloomberg survey was 31.3% while the highest estimate was 31.5%.
