Hungary Central Bank Files Complaint in Erste ‘Blackmail’ Case

Hungary’s central bank said it has filed a criminal complaint after an internal investigation into alleged misconduct linked to the way its former leadership acted toward Erste Group Bank AG.

The complaint escalates a case that’s already prompted claims of political pressure under the previous government of Viktor Orban, who was defeated in last month’s election.
