Coles CEO Says Grocery Price Hikes Inevitable as Fuel Costs Rise

Australian supermarket chain Coles Group Ltd. said the price of some groceries is certain to climb as the company and its suppliers grapple with soaring fuel costs.

Chief Executive Officer Leah Weckert said price hikes were “inevitable,” speaking at an Australian Shareholders’ Association conference in Melbourne.
