Unilever Sales Lifted by Dove Soap, Rebound in Brazil

Unilever Plc’s sales rose more than expected as consumers in emerging markets including India snapped up its cleaning products and Dove soap, offsetting lackluster demand in the US.

First-quarter underlying sales rose 3.8%, the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods company said Thursday, ahead of the 3.7% estimated by analysts. Volume growth was also ahead of expectations.
