Colombian Finance Minister Germán Ávila arrived at the central bank’s Bogotá headquarters, easing fears that he would boycott Thursday’s policy meeting.

Last month Ávila walked out of the meeting in protest over the one percentage point interest rate increase. It’s still possible that he might walk out before the seven-member board has voted, which would prevent the board from taking a decision.
