New Zealand Adds Nine Days Diesel Supply, Boosts Reserve 50%
The New Zealand government has secured an additional nine days of diesel supply as it prepares for supply chain disruption from a prolonged war in the Middle East.
Finance Minister Nicola Willis said the agreement with Z Energy to procure 90 million liters of NZ-specification fuel was “an insurance policy — in case the worst happens, New Zealand is prepared.” The additional buffer would be used if the nation was running out of fuel.
