Philippine VP Duterte’s Spouse Files Complaint Against Central Bank Head

Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte’s husband has filed a complaint against central bank Governor Eli Remolona over the public disclosure of their bank records during a congressional hearing tied to her impeachment.

Manases Carpio accuses Remolona, along with an official of the Anti-Money Laundering Council and multiple members of the House of Representatives’ justice committee, of violating the Anti-Money Laundering Act, the Bank Secrecy Law, and the Data Privacy Act, according to the complaint seen by Bloomberg News. The complaint was filed with the Quezon City prosecutor’s office.
