Billionaire-Backed PAC Hits Maine Democrat’s Nazi-Symbol Tattoo
A political action committee aligned with Republican Senator Susan Collins has launched a $2 million advertising campaign targeting Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, escalating attacks weeks before Maine’s June primary.
The group, Pine Tree Results PAC, is highlighting past controversies involving Platner, including a since-covered up tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol and offensive social media posts he made years ago. The pro-Collins PAC’s funders include Blackstone Inc. Chief Executive Officer Steve Schwarzman, New Balance Chairman Jim Davis and billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Singer, none of whom live in Maine.
