Romania’s President Nicusor Dan said the “pragmatic” approach taken by a European coalition boosts the chances of Iran reopening the strait of Hormuz, as the Middle East crisis pushes energy prices up across the continent.

“The first sign of being pragmatic is that we do not want to interfere in the conflict,” President Dan told Bloomberg Television in an interview in Cyprus on Friday.
