China Puts Export Curbs on First EU Firms Over Taiwan Arms Sales
China added seven European entities to its export control list over their involvement in arms sales to Taiwan, marking the first time Beijing has deployed the trade blacklist against companies in Europe.
The Ministry of Commerce announced the move in a pair of statements on Friday, citing national security interests. Effective immediately, the order prohibits the export of Chinese dual-use items to the listed companies and requires all related activities to cease.
