Barclays Spain Managing Director Martinez Leaves for Insurer

A 15-year veteran managing director for Barclays Plc in Spain has joined closely held insurer Santa Lucia SA to lead its strategy.

Alfonso Martinez, who covered the financial institutions group at Barclays, will be the new general director for corporate development and strategy, a newly created role at Santa Lucia, the insurer said in a statement. Martinez will also join Santa Lucia’s executive committee.
