Vitol Performed Well Despite ‘Triage’ Early in War, CEO Says

Vitol Group’s performance has been “good” so far this year in spite of a hectic period in the early days of the Iran war, according to Chief Executive Officer Russell Hardy.

The world’s largest commodity trading house has been the focus of much scrutiny in the market, with some parts of its business suffering losses early in the war. Still, overall the company has told banks it made about $2 billion in the first quarter, Bloomberg reported this week.
