Optiver has recruited Lawrence Tanzman, a former Citadel Securities trader, as the Dutch market maker expands into handling options trades sent by retail brokerages, a business long dominated by the Ken Griffin-owned firm.

Tanzman joined Optiver in Chicago after a roughly two-year break before taking the new role, according to regulatory records. His LinkedIn profile described the hiatus as a “Sa-Dad-ical”.
