French President Emmanuel Macron said Israel must “renounce its territorial ambitions” in Lebanon and that Hezbollah should be disarmed “by the Lebanese.”

Following a meeting on Tuesday with Lebanese Premier Nawaf Salam in Paris, Macron said at a press conference with his counterpart that the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire “must be extended” to enable a “genuine stabilization process.”
