Billionaire Potanin Must Face $5 Billion Divorce Case in London
Sanctioned Russian billionaire Vladimir Potanin suffered a legal setback at a London court after a judge threw out an attempt to delay his ex-wife from getting a final hearing in her $5 billion divorce spat.
Judge Alistair MacDonald said that there was an “urgent need” for the long-running lawsuit to be determined, especially considering that £14 million ($18.9 million) had already been spent by both parties on legal fees alone. A final hearing has been provisionally scheduled for November this year, according to a ruling published this week.
