ADIC Hires Australia Wealth Fund’s Fraser as Derivatives Chief

A senior member of Australia’s sovereign wealth fund’s investment team, Simon Fraser, has joined the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, the latest in a slew of top staff heading to work in the Middle East.

Fraser started this month as head of derivatives at ADIC, according to his LinkedIn profile. He most recently served as the acting executive director of overlays and treasury management at the Future Fund, where he worked for almost 12 years. His exit follows the move of Ben Samild, who left his role as the Future Fund’s chief investment officer to join the ADIC in September as chief strategist.
