Gaza Needs $71 Billion Over Next Decade to Rebuild, Study Shows

More than a third of the money — about $26.3 billion — will be required within the first 18 months to restore essential services and build critical infrastructure, according to the report. Its publication on Monday comes six months after a ceasefire took effect between Israel and Hamas, the Iran-backed militant group behind the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks that sparked the conflict.
