Commerzbank CEO Orlopp Slams UniCredit’s Strategy Proposals

Commerzbank AG Chief Executive Officer Bettina Orlopp fired back at her counterpart at UniCredit SpA, Andrea Orcel, after he issued a heavy critique of her strategy.

A presentation by UniCredit earlier on Monday on how to improve the German lender’s performance “is a speculative attempt to dismantle Commerzbank’s successful business model rather than a credible plan for value creation,” Commerzbank said in a statement.
