Russia plans to ban gasoline exports for the nation’s producers from April 1 to meet domestic demand as global fuel prices surge amid the war in Iran.

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has ordered the Energy Ministry to prepare draft legislation barring gasoline exports starting next month, the government said in a statement.
