Libya Redirects Oil Flows After Sharara Pipeline Leak and Fire

Libya’s National Oil Corp. reported a fire after a pipeline leak from the country’s largest oil field, according to a statement.

Production at Sharara was continuing, with some flows redirected to the El Feel pipeline toward Mellitah port, and the remainder diverted through the Hamada pipeline to the Zawiya storage tanks, the company said. Together, these measures have “significantly reduced” oil losses, it said.
