SpaceX’s Starship lunar lander for NASA still faces numerous technical challenges and likely more delays ahead of a planned 2028 moon landing, according to a new government audit released Tuesday.
Elon Musk’s company would have missed a June 2027 moon landing deadline, a target that NASA recently moved to 2028, and its ability to meet the new target is not yet clear, NASA’s Office of Inspector General said in a report.
