Malaysia’s Anwar Set to Drop Anti-Graft Chief in Wake of Probe
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is poised to drop anti-graft chief Azam Baki after a probe into his shareholdings, people familiar with the matter said.
Anwar is likely not to renew Azam’s contract for a fourth time when his term ends on May 12, the people said, asking not to be identified speaking about confidential information. The Singapore-based Straits Times newspaper earlier reported the developments on Azam.
