Central Bank Says Venezuela Inflation Soared to 475% Then Cooled
Venezuela’s central bank on Friday released long-withheld inflation data showing prices soared in 2025, exposing just how sharply the economy deteriorated last year before easing in early 2026.
The figures show annual inflation accelerating to 475% in 2025 from 48% a year earlier, as political turmoil and US sanctions battered public finances and fueled price pressures.
