Russia Blames Ukraine for First Attack on LNG Shadow Fleet

A liquefied natural gas tanker, sanctioned by the US for carrying blacklisted Russian fuel, was attacked in the Mediterranean Sea, according to Russia’s Transport Ministry.

Arctic Metagaz was targeted near Malta’s territorial waters by Ukrainian drone boats, the ministry said in a post on Telegram. The Armed Forces of Malta said it assisted with evacuating the crew on March 3 after it was informed of a distressed situation, according to a post on Facebook.
