Money Rolls Into Emerging-Market ETFs Even as Rout Hits Shares
Investors kept putting money into exchange-traded funds that invest in emerging-markets this week even as markets convulsed, indicating confidence that the war in the Middle East won’t roil risk assets for long.
Money managers injected over $600 million of fresh cash into developing-world ETFs on Tuesday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg — a day that saw the MSCI Emerging Markets Equity Index slump by the most since April and currencies tumble against the surging dollar.
