Germany Names Felbermayr as New Adviser to Merz on Economy

Germany picked Gabriel Felbermayr to succeed Ulrike Malmendier on the council of economic experts, which advises the government.

“The council is gaining a proven expert in trade policy, geoeconomics and European integration,” Economy Minister Katherina Reiche, who proposed Felbermayr, said Wednesday in a statement.
