Zimbabwe Cites Under-Declaration in Lithium Export Ban

Zimbabwe banned the export of raw lithium concentrates after widespread under-declaration by miners, a Cabinet minister said.

Polite Kambamura, Zimbabwe’s mines minister, told reporters at a post-Cabinet briefing in the capital that although the ban was scheduled to take effect next year, the government was forced to act sooner as producers ramped up output and sought additional export permits.
