Charterhouse Said to Raise €1 Billion at First Close of New Fund

Charterhouse Capital Partners, one of the UK’s oldest private equity firms, has raised about €1 billion ($1.2 billion) at the first close of its latest flagship fund, according to people familiar with the matter.

The firm, which invests across Europe, is looking to raise €1.5 billion for its new fund, CCP XII, with a final close expected in the coming months, the people said, asking not to be identified confidential information. The previous fund, CCP XI, closed at €1.4 billion in 2023, they said, adding that fundraising for the new vehicle was launched last summer.
