India Raises Growth Estimate as Economy Shows Resilience
India’s government raised its growth estimate for the current fiscal year, underscoring the resilience of the world’s fastest-growing major economy to global trade disruptions.
Gross domestic product is projected to expand 7.6% in the year ending in March, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said Friday, slightly higher than the 7.4% forecast previously. The projection was in line with economists’ estimates.
