Seoul Apartment Price Increase Cools as Bank of Korea Stands Pat
Seoul apartment prices extended their gains for another week, though the pace slowed to the weakest in more than five months, easing pressure on the Bank of Korea after authorities held the policy rate steady for a sixth consecutive meeting on Thursday.
Prices in the capital rose 0.11% in the week ended Feb. 23, according to data released Thursday by the Korea Real Estate Board, marking the 56th consecutive weekly gain. That was down from a 0.15% gain the previous week and represented the slowest rise since early September 2025. Nationwide apartment prices climbed a more moderate 0.05%, the data showed.
