Sarepta CEO to Retire by Year-End to Spend Time With Sick Family
Sarepta Therapeutics Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer Douglas Ingram said he would retire by the end of the year to spend time with sick family members, even as the maker of drugs for a rare muscle disease works to address questions about its breakthrough medicines.
“In a fairly shocking and certainly ironic twist of fate,” two immediate family members have been diagnosed with a different form of muscular dystrophy, Ingram said on a conference call Wednesday with investors. He said stepping down will allow him to spend more time in California with them.
