Development Partners International’s Chief Executive Officer Runa Alam is stepping down after nearly two decades at the helm of the Africa-focused investment firm.

Sofiane Lahmar, who has been a senior partner at DPI since joining in 2010, will succeed Alam, effective April 1, according to a statement seen by Bloomberg News. Alam will become non-executive chair.
