French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu survived two censure motions Wednesday that aimed to oust him over his government’s new energy roadmap.

The far-right National Rally and the far-left France Unbowed parties had each filed no-confidence motions to challenge the government’s decision to adopt its long-awaited energy strategy — which extends to 2035 — by decree instead of a parliamentary vote.
