South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir appointed Salvatore Garang Mabiordit as finance minister, the ninth time he’s replaced the head of the oil-producing nation’s Treasury in less than six years.

Mabiordit will replace Barnaba Bak Chol, whose tenure as finance minister lasted only three months, according to a presidential decree read on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation on Monday.
