Macron Picks New Budget Minister in Shuffle of Top State Jobs
French President Emmanuel Macron appointed a new budget minister on Sunday in part of a reshuffle of senior positions in his administration that has drawn criticism from opposition parties.
The Elysee said in a statement Sunday that Macron picked civil service minister David Amiel to take over running the budget after the president dispatched Amelie de Montchalin to head France’s audit court.
