Frankfurt Airport Faces Delays, Cancellations Amid Snowfall

Germany’s largest airport faces disruptions after extensive snowfall in the Frankfurt region, the latest in a string of weather-related strains on air traffic in recent weeks.

Frankfurt airport canceled 83 flights so far, according to a spokesperson for airport operator Fraport AG. A total of 1,098 flights with more than 131,000 passengers were scheduled on Thursday. Arrival delays are averaging 1 hour 16 minutes and are increasing, according to Flightaware.
