AlphaQuest, the roughly 25-year-old quantitative hedge fund that recently added “Alpha” to its name, is calling it quits after three consecutive years of losses.

Nigol Koulajian’s $2 billion fund is shuttering and returning all cash to investors after undergoing its worst-ever losing streak. The fund fell 15.2% last year, a person familiar with the matter said, leaving the hedge fund down about 30% since it began its decline in October 2022.
