Teachers Unions Ask SEC to Scrutinize Apollo’s Epstein Ties

Cross/BloombergTeachers unions are asking the US Securities & Exchange Commission to consider whether a 2021 statement from Apollo Global Management Inc. about the extent of its contact with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein could be considered materially false or misleading.
In its request to the regulator Tuesday, the American Federation of Teachers and American Association of University Professors cited a January 2021 filing that included a letter to investors from then-Apollo Chief Executive Officer Leon Black as well as an investigation report from the Dechert law firm.
