BOE’s Mann Says UK Consumers Have Been ‘Scarred’ by Inflation

Bank of England rate-setter Catherine Mann said the UK economy is “sluggish” and “tepid,” with consumers “scarred” by high inflation and spending less as a result.

In an interviewBloomberg Terminal with the Telegraph published late Saturday, the Monetary Policy Committee member said that “key elements” for growth were currently missing.
