Midas Auto Repair Brand Owner Mavis Tire Is Said to Weigh US IPO

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp., an auto repair and tire service provider that counts Midas and Tuffy among its brands, is considering a US initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter.

The company, which traces its roots to 1949, is in early talks with advisers to work on a potential listing, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information isn’t public. A listing could come as soon as this year, some of the people said.
