Malaysia’s civil service is reviewing rules on stock ownership for public officials, days after a report on the anti-graft chief’s shareholdings caused an outcry in the country.

The Public Service Department is looking into rules that have been in place for more than 20 years, it said in a statement Thursday. That includes rules about shareholdings and outside employment, it said.
