Lufthansa Cancels 800 Flights as Pilots, Crew Go on Strike
Deutsche Lufthansa AG canceled almost 800 flights Thursday after pilots and cabin crew called a one-day strike in response to stalled contract negotiations.
The walkouts started at 12:01 a.m. local time and are scheduled to last until 11:59 p.m. The job actions are grounding both commercial and cargo flights, and they come one day before world leaders are set to fly in for the Munich Security Conference.
