Albion River Merges Defense Portfolio, Brings in Kevin McCarthy

Defense-focused private equity firm Albion River LLC has combined some of its portfolio companies to create an industrial platform backed by a $300 million equity raise and recruited a board that includes former US Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.

The Ignium platform is a bet by Albion that Western militaries’ biggest vulnerability lies not in weapons design, but in manufacturing capacity.
