Lars Windhorst Sued in US for Reneging on Bond Repurchase Deal

Lars Windhorst, the embattled German financier who has faced multiple lawsuits in recent years, was sued in the US for allegedly failing to repay millions of dollars in debts arising from a bond deal with a finance firm in Dubai.

IStar Capital Ltd. accused Windhorst of reneging on a €6.5 million ($7.7 million) loan made in 2024, according to a US lawsuit in the Southern District of New York dated Feb. 6. The firm has already obtained a judgment against one of his companies in Dubai, the claim shows.
