Anton Levy, the former co-president and chairman of global technology investments at General Atlantic, is starting his own investment firm, Layer Global.

Layer Global is seeking to raise $1.1 billion for a fund focused on investing in companies at an earlier stage than Levy did at General Atlantic, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified because that information was private.
